The policy and terms on your own quote are the ones that apply to your booking. This page shows our standard terms.
How booking works
- You tell us what you'd like. Use the trip planner, a listing's inquiry form, or WhatsApp.
- We send a quote. It lists each stay, excursion and transfer with its price, the payment dates and the cancellation policy, and is valid until the date shown.
- You accept it online. Nothing is reserved until you do. When you accept, we book each part with the property or operator.
- We confirm. Once each property and operator has confirmed, you get a confirmation and a private trip page with your itinerary and arrival details.
Prices and taxes
Your quote is in the currency shown on it: US dollars, or another currency such as rufiyaa or euros if you ask for it. Its prices are fixed in that currency at the exchange rate on the day it was priced, and your booking, invoices and receipts are in the same currency. Each price includes the taxes and service charges shown on your quote, such as T-GST. Green Tax is always in US dollars.
A few items may be paid directly to the property or operator. Your quote marks them, and they are not on our invoices.
Deposit and balance
A deposit confirms your booking and the balance is due before you arrive. Your quote shows the amounts and dates.
We send an invoice for each payment with our bank details. Please use the invoice number as the payment reference. We send a receipt for every payment we receive.
Changes and cancellations
Each property or trip can have its own cancellation policy, and the one that applies to you is on your quote and your trip page. Our standard policy:
- See your quote for the cancellation charges that apply.
Changes after confirmation depend on availability and may change the price. If an invoice needs correcting, we issue a credit note, and any money we pay back is recorded against it.
Green Tax
Green Tax is not included in our prices. It is charged by the property directly.
Your documents
Your quote, trip page, invoices, receipts and any credit notes each have a private link that only you receive. Each one prints, or saves as a PDF, from your browser. Please keep the links to yourself.
Full terms

Prices are valid until the date shown on the quote.
On booking confirmations
The deposit and cancellation policy shown on your confirmation applies.
